Search Henry County Marriage Records
For older Henry County marriage license searches, the County Clerk FAQ says the office needs either the bride or groom name, the maiden name for the bride, and the year believed. Marriage licenses back to September 1985 can be viewed on public computers. For marriage licenses older than 1950, the clerk directs people to the Henry County Historical Society. The FAQ also says the Deed Room records are public and that the office has three public computers to search documents electronically.
The County Clerk's copy request form can be used for a marriage-license copy. The marriage portion asks for bride name, groom name, date, and whether a certified copy is needed. The form also asks for requester name, email, phone, address, desired delivery method, and payment type. Payment may be cash, check, certified check, business check, money order, or card by phone follow-up. Documents are not sent until payment is received.

Find Henry County Divorce Records
Divorce records are court records, not County Clerk marriage-license records. The Henry County Clerk copy request form explicitly says the County Clerk does not handle court documents such as divorce or child support and directs those questions to the District/Circuit Clerk at 502-845-2868. Under KCOJ's court structure, divorce and dissolution matters are Circuit Court or Family Court matters. For a Henry County divorce file, contact the Office of Circuit Court Clerk rather than the County Clerk.
Certified divorce certificates can also be requested from the Kentucky Office of Vital Statistics. OVS requires a completed application and required fee before it can search. It cannot by law provide information from records, perform genealogical searches, or verify whether a certificate is on file without the completed request and fee. OVS also does not issue photocopies, faxed copies, non-certified copies, or electronic copies of records.
A person who needs a divorce decree, case filings, child-support orders, or other court-file material should use the court record path through the Circuit Court Clerk. Kentucky Marriage and Divorce Certificates
The Kentucky Office of Vital Statistics provides certified marriage and divorce certificates. Certificate requests need the full name of the first party, full name of the second party, month, day, and year of marriage or divorce, Kentucky county where the license or decree was issued, requester name and mailing address, daytime phone number, and number of copies. Mail requests go with check or money order payable to Kentucky State Treasurer.
